Long notice periods

Date: October 31, 2023

We've all heard those justifications for long notice periods - "handover needs time," "hiring is a marathon, not a sprint," or sometimes it's just 'how things are done.' ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ But here's a thought ๐Ÿ’ญ... shouldn't most of the knowledge transfer be documented already? Why wait for someone's farewell to start that process?

Truth bomb ๐Ÿงจ: When someone's on notice, they're often counting down the days (let's be real!). Extending this period not only feels like a trap for the leaver, but it can also brew negativity, impacting the team's morale and company's productivity. ๐Ÿ“‰

So, why not change the game? ๐ŸŽฒ Make documentation & transparency the default, and perhaps we could embrace shorter notice periods. Fresh starts for everyone! ๐ŸŒฑ
